The Perfect Chocolate Cake by The Cooking Doctor
100 gm soft butter
1 packet of Vanilla
1 cup of sugar
200 gm Sour cream
1 cup (175 gm) sifted Flour
1/2 cup dark Cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup warm water
1 teaspoon instant Coffee (Nescafe)
A pinch of Salt
The Chocolate Ganache
100 gm Semisweet Chocolate
100 gm whipping cream (or milk)
Heat the oven to 180°C (minimum 15 minutes before baking)
With an electrical mixer, mix Butter & sugar till creamy, then add eggs & vanilla & keep beating till creamy & fluffy.
Add the sour cream & mix well, then add the warm water with the instant Coffee dissolved in it & mix.
To the same mixture add the sifted Flour+ Sifted Cocoa & Baking powder & soda in patches during mixing.
Butter a nonstick Cake mould & put the cake & enter the oven for around 45 minutes.
over a water bath, melt chocolate with cream while stirring.
After taking the Cake out of the oven ,wait till it cools for 10 minutes then make some holes above your Cake with a knife & Pour the hot Ganache over it.
Wait for the Cake to cool then serve.
